Pag

What to say about the island of Pag, that has not been said before? However, I can only say that every time I go there, impresses me its diversity and beauty.

This brief travelogue and a few photos describe mainly the central part of the island. Please do not think that the rest of the island is identical or similar to this part.



One of the bike paths that leads to my dear friend Velimir, to a small cove where are the excellent beach and shade in a small pine grove. There you can refresh yourself with a cold drink.

The beach is mostly empty, but still...

At this location, means south side of Pag, the one that overlooks the open sea, you might record one of the best sunsets you've ever took, you should definitely try..

There are two ornithological areas, one in Kolansko blato and the other by Povljana. Who loves birds should visit these areas.

If you love peace and light holiday, Mandre is the place for you, especially in September. Nothing spectacular, but far from noisy streets, full of beautiful beaches.. I recommend a bike tour.

Let there be no mistake, there are at Pag sites you should not miss, especially if you want to swim at the beach from the postcards. In this case, you'll need a little hike behind the Metajna village and there you are, heaven on earth.

It may be good get to know how difficult way of life is of people who live on the island all year round.  So I went to see how they feed the sheeps, from their milk is produced famous Pag cheese. Now I understand why the cheese so expensive it, Well, the sheep every day need to drink 4 liters of water and eat something green, which is almost impossible because this year specificaly in Mandre not rained since May. Otherwise,  for 1 kilogram of cheese takes 7 litres of milk, so it is now clear why the cheese is so expensive. After you try it, the price will no longer be relevant. You'll just ask if you can buy it.

Who in this place do not try fishing with local people does not know what he missed. I know Srdjan for 18 years and it is always a great pleasure to go with him to the sea.

And this is the reward after waiting all night and pulling up of net in the morning...

After the delicious dinner,  some wine and a view of the sea...

Ivančica

Ivančica Mountain is located in Krapina-Zagorje County and is the highest mountin in the Croatian Zagorje. Altough the mountain seems tame, but it has got  steep climbs.

A mountain lodge „Belecgrad“ is located in the southern foothills of the mountain Ivančica at an altitude of 445m and surrounded by pine trees. The house holds 27 beds located in two large rooms, kitchen and two bathrooms. In front of the lodge are wooden tables where you can drink and eat something but as well enjoy the view of the old medieval fortress Belecgrad. In the immediate vicinity of the lodge is the creek Brana which looks charming.

Nearby is the Church of Mary of the Snow, which was built in the 17th century and is considered by many the most beautiful baroque church in northern Croatia.

The mountain lodge“ Belecgrad“ is an ideal starting point for hiking on Ivančica due beautiful  paths through predominantly beech forest, which forms the shade. We went to the top Minđalovec offering a breathtaking view of the fort and is ideal for photography.

 We continued to climb to the mountain hut „Pasarićeva kuća“  located at the top of  Ivančica at 1060m. Near the hut there are two sight-seeing locations . There is also the starting point for paragliders. 

If you choose to bring photographic equipment you will return home with some beautiful photographs of birds that sing and constantly complement the atmosphere. 

After a short rest and a great stew prepared in the hut we went down and than back up to the top Belige. 
We continued true the path wich leads to the fortress Belecgrad and than back to the lodge where we prepaired barbecue, friends brought some wine from Zagorje hills and the party started.

Gorščica-Medvednica-Zagreb

Ukoliko živite u Zagrebu definitivno morate posjetiti jednu od stotinu prekrasnih lokacija na Medvednici (Zagrebačko gorje). Gorščica se nalazi na južnoj strani Medvednice http://www.medvednica.info/2010/10/pd-gorscica.html .

Izlet na kojem smo bili organiziran je od strane prijatelja, te se povodom rođendanske proslave i praznika 1. Maja odazvalo čedrdesetak ljudi, a pretvorio se u jednan lijepi izlet i ugodno planinarsko druženje.

Priroda je fantastična, palaninarska staza je prilično lagana i šetnjom od cca 1h od podnožja u Vidovcu doći ćete na prekrasan proplanak te uživati u prekrasnom krajoliku te drvenim kolibama i kučici. Ukoliko želite možete sa sobom ponijeti i hranu te je pripremiti na jednom od roštilja koje se nalaze uz samu kolibu i prekrasnim rustikalnim nadstrešnicama gdje se ugodno možete odmoriti. Vikendom i praznicima možete osim tekućine koju poneste sa sobom konzumirati i ostale vrste pića po prilično pristupačmim cijenama.

Tignes-Val d I'sere

Udaljen od Zagreba 915 km to je jedno od najvećih i najljepših skijališta u Francuskoj. Obiluje zajedno sa Val d'Isere-om sa 300km staza te se proteže na 10.000 hektara površine gdje se nalaze dva glečera. Jednom riječju skijaški raj kako za amatere tako i za profesionalce.

Nočni život u Tigne-u, OK, ali u Val d I'sere-u to je već razika.... afterski party to treba obavezno pogledati...
